Hicket — Personal and business finances

Technical Overview

Hicket brings personal and business finance management into a mobile application. Users can record income and expenses, organize accounts and categories, set budgets, and track savings goals. Reports help them review transactions, while team management adds members and permissions for working on business finances. Chester, the integrated financial assistant, provides a place to ask questions within the app.

Problem Statement

Recording expenses is only part of managing finances: people also need to know how much budget remains, how savings goals are progressing, and who can access business information. The challenge was to connect these tasks in a clear mobile experience with personal and business contexts.

Architecture

Built with Expo 55, React Native, and TypeScript. Expo Router organizes navigation, while Supabase handles authentication and data. User, business, and language contexts and feature hooks separate shared state from data access. Native Expo modules provide images, haptic feedback, and visual effects, while the Chester integration has its own dedicated layer.
